NBC 30 and Special Olympics Connecticut are proud to be Partners in a Caring Community. Law Enforcement Torch Run Program (LETR)
As the single largest grass-roots fundraising and public awareness vehicle for Special Olympics, the men and women of law enforcement and corrections raise hundreds of thousands of dollars annually for the athletes of SOCT through Tip A Cop events at local restaurants, Cop On Top (building sits), merchandise sales, runner pledges, softball games and more. The LETR Program receives the highest level of media attention throughout the course of the year in the local communities across the state. As a result, the LETR Program affords ample opportunity for additional funding through corporate sponsorships at the local, regional and state levels.

Guardian Life Insurance Company of America
SOCT is happy to once again partner with Guardian. Guardian hosts the highest grossing golf event each year for the athletes of Special Olympics Connecticut. The Celebrity Golf Event is held in June and is chaired by New York Mets owner, Jeff Wilpon along with columnist, best selling author and ESPN contributor Mike Lupica. The event features players and coaches from the Mets along with other sports related celebrities. Guardian's support insures a first class event each and every year.

Bob's Stores
As co-sponsor of our CAS/Unified Sports Program, Bob's Stores and its employees volunteer countless hours assisting at school based events in association with the Connecticut Association of Schools. In addition, Bob's Stores conducts a number of in store campaigns for the athletes of Special Olympics. We thank the many employees for their continued time and dedication to our program.

Northeast Utilities System
Northeast Utilities System along with its Yankee Gas, Northeast Utilities Transmission and CL & P Divisions continue to serve as Title Sponsor of our Winter Games. Countless hours are spent by NU employee committee members in planning, staging and implementing the many elements needed to not only sponsor but host this event. In addition, employee volunteers host one the largest golf tournaments each year at Lake of Isles at Foxwoods. The golf event has expanded into a two day event and now includes the Susan Saint James Poker Tournament the evening before. Funds from these events have supported the Susan Saint James endowment for local programs as well as World and National Games representation by SOCT athletes.
